Your Office Visit
History is the most important tool to help us diagnose your allergic problem
We will send your primary care provider a report of your visit and our recommendations
Please download, fill out and print the Patient Forms before your first appointment as it will expedite your visit. For telemedicine appointments, please fill out our online form. One of the forms is your list of medications. If you are unable to fill it out, bring all your medications with you.
During your first visit, the doctor or the physician assistant will take a complete history. History is the most important tool to help us diagnose your allergic problem. We will then do a physical examination.
After this, we will discuss possible diagnoses and treatments with you. In many cases, we may need diagnostic tests. Some tests, such as allergy testing and lung function tests can be scheduled in our office while others such as blood tests and X rays may have to be scheduled at a hospital.
Diagnosis of your problem may sometimes require completion of all tests. We will then discuss with you the results of your tests and our recommendations and formulate a plan for your treatment. Your treatment plan may include one or more of the following:
- Environmental control
- Medications
- Immunotherapy or allergy injections
If you were referred to us by your primary care provider, we will send him/her a report of your visit and our recommendations.
